Alphablocks

I want to introduce reading to my 5years old daughter but I don't know where and how to start. I want her to enjoy and love reading so I have to start with something fun and not stressful. Then upon researching, I found a helpful series to watch in Netflix. The title was Alphablocks. She started to watch it today and she enjoys it a lot. The alphablocks characters always say how they sound. By doing that, my kid starts to learn and remember each letter's sound. I think in just weeks she will learn how to read simple words. I give 5 stars to this educational cartoon. Why don't you give it a try too?

I want to start by introducing myself. I am April, a mother of 2 girls, Pam and Pia. Because of the pandemic, we decided to start homeschooling. I want to share the experiences, the ups and downs that we will encounter on this journey we chose. At first I was hesitant because I don't know if I am capable of teaching my kids what they need to learn. I was scared that I may not be an effective teacher. But when I started researching and studying different curriculums and techniques, I realize that my goals are changing and I'm starting to enjoy what I am doing. I hope my kids will enjoy too.
